The Bowhouse makers market commissioned our team to create distinctive signage and objects for their listed barn – a space hosting regular food and drink markets for local producers. Set in the grounds of the Balcaskie estate, a few miles north of St Monans in Fife, the Bowhouse mak-ers market aims to replace a missing link in the food chain between farmer and consumer.
We painted a 10m high typographic logo onto the interior and exterior of the building, comple-mented by a laser-cut, corten steel door handle and spoon weathervane. A series of laser-etched larch wayfinding signs, and internal and external light boxes create an authentic, high quality en-vironment for the market which offers opportunities to see, discuss, taste and buy food and drink made in Fife and beyond.
