OSF created a temporary installation to showcase creative writing and visual art created by teenagers from secondary schools across Edinburgh. Students explored their ideas using an early photography process called cyanotype. The were also asked to write a letter as their future self, back to themselves today. The results they produced offered a fascinating glimpse into the teenage psyche.
We were appointed by the Edinburgh International Festival to design, build and install a bespoke pavilion to showcase the creative work from this project. We created a contemporary structure using a combination of open redwood, translucent polycarbonate walls and bold blue flooring and display panels. The structure was designed, so that it could be easily assembled within a day.
This exhibition was on display for the duration of the Edinburgh International Festival, in the historic grounds of the University of Edinburgh’s Old College.
