Biome Collective created an immersive interactive installation that invites visitors to share their emotional state without words. Using gaming techniques and 360-degree sound and animation, visitors can create an ‘emotional avatar’ which they can share with others to start a conversation about how they feel.
OSF worked closely with Biome Collective to design and build an octagonal plinth from a solid surface material called Hi-Macs. The black surface was finished to a high polished level to reflect the colours and forms projected from the installation.
The plinth had to be made in sections, be simple to access for maintenance and easy to move and maintain. Since premiering at the London Design Festival in 2018, it has been on tour to numerous UK venues attracting critical acclaim.
