V&A – Schools Design Challenge

Schools Design Challenge
V&A

The V&A Schools design challenge was a project involving over 1,000 young people. It provided an opportunity for S1 grade pupils from Dundee to use design principles to explore changes that could be made to their every day environment.

Old School Fabrications were commissioned to design and build interactive exhibition stands, displaying 3d models alongside images and videos of the projects creative design processes. The modular stands featured integrated iPads with headphones and display LED lighting. The materials, colours and overall aesthetic were playful and functional, giving each school a separate space to display their work. The project was completed in collaboration with designer Martin Baillie.
