In collaboration with landscape architects Paul Hogarth, we created a series of bespoke exterior benches for the grounds of Glenkinchie Distillery in rural East Lothian.
These stunning benches span over 30 linear metres and are crafted from a blend of more than 400 pieces of oak, larch, and reclaimed washback timber sourced from the distillery itself. The bench tops were fabricated off-site and incorporate a stainless steel rail system to the underside. This allowed us to hide all screw fixings and allowed for a seamless and proficient installation.
The timber is left untreated, allowing it to naturally age and develop a silvery patina over time, seamlessly integrating with the new distillery gardens.
