Provost Skene's House is the oldest surviving townhouse in Aberdeen dating back to 1545. In collaboration with Studio Arc, we played a central role in transforming this important, historic, building into an exciting new visitor attraction.
This complex project involved the design and creation of over 30 bespoke display and interactive pieces across 12 themed galleries. The project provided a unique opportunity for creative experimentation, allowing us to incorporate a diverse range of materials including cast jesmonite, brass, steel, glass, laminates, solid surfaces, and beautiful hardwoods. Many of the displays incorporate highly bespoke elements, such as: projection mapping, integrated lighting & AV digital content and display case solutions which showcase the museum objects.
Today, Provost Skene's House offers a fantastic family-friendly experience, celebrating the pioneering people of Aberdeen and the North-East of Scotland who have shaped the city and helped to transform the world.
